Lewis could easily make up for the shortfall of money if Merc offer him £30-40 mil he is a global superstar sponsors will be lining up. No one person is bigger than the sport and Merc will not be told how much they need to offer as a salary in fact the other way round.If I was Lewis accept the offer or you won’t be racing in the silver arrows this year!03-01-2021 14:17

There were a few obvious reasons why Vettel did not deliver this year. No longer wanted at Ferrari before season starts, difficult car to drive, Leclerc as no1 driver. You could tell by the body language of vettel and his driving he didn’t want to be there but why quit when your getting paid 30 -40 mil. If this years Aston is a clone of the merc then vettel will be in the mix at the front and I think will destroy Lance. Don’t be surprised if lance quits himself end of this season!04-01-2021 11:18

A new rule should be introduced if you win 3 consecutive drivers WC with a team you then have to move to another manufacture. This would show how good a driver or a team is and would be more entertaining for the fans!01-01-2021 10:58

Lewis is big PR now! no doubt probably more than all drivers put together. Go back 4/5 years When he was 2 or 3 times WC It was very different. Merc are thinking ahead how long do we keep paying this guy 40 - 50m to be In the best car when other drivers will drive for a lot less. If Russel or any other driver took his place and won a few championships they would be big PR for Merc. Also would be good for the sport for this one person domination to end31-12-2020 21:49

Any one is replaceable! George is ready and Williams could easily fill the seat if he leaves even Toto would help Williams find a driver. Lewis will have to compromise on salary if he wants to continue with Merc.31-12-2020 16:28
